The Importance of Preplanning

More and more people today are planning ahead for funerals, for themselves, and for their loved ones. You may ask "Why preplan?"  When a death occurs, those closest to the deceased will experience a most difficult time of loss and grief. This can make the funeral planning process quite emotionally cumbersome. In order to plan out a funeral, a good deal of information needs to be gathered and many decisions have to be made. Time and thought needs to go into these decisions. By doing so ahead of time, it is easier to think clearly and plan how to have your wishes carried out, rather than wait until the emotional stress of your loss has set in to do so. There is very little that your funeral director will need to ask of your loved ones at the time of death, if the funeral plans have been made completely and thoroughly, ahead of time.
