Willie Mae Peggy Clayton was the daughter of the late Leo and Verlene Breland. Willie Mae was born on August 23, 1943, in Ruffin, SC. She departed this life on September 9, 2024, at her home. God dispatched an angel to have delivered unto him, a good and faithful servant.
She was educated in the public schools of Colleton County. Willie Mae was admired and loved by those she knew and touched. She was a loving, tell it like it is wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. You could always count on Willie Mae to keep it 100 with her family. Willie Mae was a faithful and diligent worker at Sandhill Baptist church in her younger years of life. She loved spending time at home watching her favorite shows Let’s Make a Deal and Price Is Right and spending time on her tablet, viewing church service, listen to her Gospel music, and spending time with the Lord. Thanks to her daughter Jackie who made sure that she had everything she needed day by day.
Along with her parents, Willie Mae was preceded in death by her late husband Robert Clayton, sons Chris and Roderick Clayton. Four brothers, Carlisle, Isaac, Mack, and James Breland. Her sister Jessie Lee Delee.
Left to cherish the beautiful memories of her life are children Edward Breland, Dennis Clayton, Jackie Sanders, Pamela Holmes (Nate), Robin Fields (George Jr.) and Teresa Clayton. Sister Lessie Breland, sister in-law Dorothy White and brother in-law Norris Delee. The joy of her life 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
