Tyrone Bernard Middleton, was born on January 15, 1971, to the late
Isaac and Rebecca Middleton. He departed this earthly life on July 16,
2025 surrounded by loving family and friends.
At the conclusion of a modest education, Tyrone, affectionately known
as Bernard, became a hardworking man. He was employed at the White
Hall Plantation for 10 plus years. He then went on to work for Colleton
County School System, where he served for many additional years. He
continued his employment with Walmart Supercenter until his health began
to fail.
Bernard was a dedicated member of St. Paul CME Church, joining
the young adult choir at an early age. As a husband and father, he enjoyed
simply attending church with his mom and family.
Tyrone, more popularly known as Bernard and Uncle B to family and
friends, was a comedian in his own way. Telling jokes and making people
laugh came naturally. He would often say “I just love having fun and cutting
the fool.” He was known for making us laugh.
Bernard found pleasure in the simple things of life. Being around his
family and spending time with them was paramount! He loved baseball and
enjoyed attending the games of his son, nieces, and nephews. Brenard
was their biggest fan. On any given Sunday you could catch a crowd of
spectators watching a good game of family baseball at the Middleton’s
home. Of course, Bernard would be the loudest one out there!! In addition
to being a fan of baseball and football, he loved playing spades or casting a
line on the fishing bank. His competitive nature would not allow him to lose,
and would do what he deemed necessary to ensure his victory. During
Spades, he swore he never cheated, but everybody knew better. To be
around Bernard was to share in his warmth and love.
Those waiting at the heavenly gates to greet him are: His loving
