Terry Elizabeth Bennett was born on February 3, 1964, to the late Rev. R.E.
Bennett and Elizabeth Kirkland Bennett in Plainfield, New Jersey. She
transitioned from labor to rest on November 2, 2024, in Columbia, SC.
She had a profound love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and confessed him as
her Savior at an early age. Terry was an active member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist
Church where she served on the Adult and Youth choir. She helped start the Fall
Youth Revival to teach Christian values and inspire students to do their best in the
community and in school.
Terry is a 1982 graduate of Hillcrest High School. She furthered her studies at
Central Carolina Technical College where she earned an Associate Degree. She
volunteered as a Counselor at a local shelter ministering to victims of domestic
violence. Terry was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Kershaw
Medical Center for several years.
She will be remembered as a fun loving, joyful and ambitious woman who cared
deeply for her family. Terry always spoke lovingly about her daughters and
grandchildren. She would not hesitate to give her grandchildren her last. Her
sweet spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
Terry leaves to cherish her memories Three daughters, Tiarra Boyce of Sumter,
SC, Kiarra Boyce of Columbia, SC, Alissa Williams of Columbia, SC; Brothers, Dr.
Edwin Bennett of Orlando, Florida, Gregory Bennett of Dalzell, SC and Rev. Wayne
