Stanley Washington Obituary

Mr. Stanley Washington was born July 19, 1953, in Yemassee SC to the late Henry and Sarah Washington. On Monday, August 19, 2024, he was called home to be with his heavenly father.

During his younger years, he attended Mt. Nebo Baptist Church of Yemassee, SC. He attended and graduated Walterboro High School Class of 1971. In his tender years, Stanley was a hard worker, friendly, respectful, humbled man and a jokester; he loved laughing and being around his family and friends. Stanley was very family oriented. He loved softball, gardening in the yard, and his favorite artist was King George. Then he will get on his good foot and start dancing. You couldn't tell him, he could not sing. Stanley made it his life mission to sing Happy Birthday to his family. He worked for CCX Fiberglass plant for over 40 years, then was employed at IFA Rotorion for 11 years.

Stanley met and married the love of his life, his high school sweetheart Jeanette. They were married for over 40 years. To this union, two children were born.

He leaves behind those loved ones to cherish: His wife Jeanette Washington, Walterboro, SC, four daughters Washeeba White, Walterboro, SC, Nirobia Deweese (Antonio), Goose Creek, SC, Shonda Mosley-Davis (Jon) Raleigh, NC and Kileene Mitchell, Walterboro, Sc, Siblings; Robert Manigo (Betty Manigo), East Orange, NJ, Henry (Albertha) Washington, Walterboro, SC, Linda Huggins, White Hall, SC, Vergie Chafiki (Said) Hardeeville, SC, Theresa (Mario) Lang, Pooler, GA, Angela Polite, Augusta GA, and Deangela Delaney, Columbia, SC, three brother in laws Paul White Jr (deceased), Silas White (Mary), Walterboro, SC, Jackie White (Georgeanne), Walterboro, SC, a sister in law Shirley Smith (Frankie), Jamaica, NY. James Manigault and Lillie Mae Johnson preceded him in Death. There are 8 grandchildren, countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
