Savin Sanders

Mr.  Savin Sanders, son of the late Kizer and Liza Sanders, was born on September 17, 1950.  He entered peacefully into eternal rest Sunday April 6, 2025, at home.

Savin (Catfish) as he was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.  His journey on this earth was one marked by love and compassion.  His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by him.

Even though Savin did not have any children of his own, he loved every one of his nieces and nephews as his own.  He made sure that he brought something to give to them every day of the week.  When you heard that knock at the door, you might as well send one of the children because if an adult answered, he would say, “Hey, I’m looking for so and so, tell them I got something for them”.  And if the children were not there at the time, he would say, “Make sure when they get home, tell them to come get their stuff”.  Savin would not leave nothing that he had for them with one of the adults!

Preceding him in death are, one sister, Deloris Sanders; two brothers, Fletcher Sanders and Heyward Sanders and one brother-in-law, Percy Cochran.

Savin leaves to cherish his precious memories, one sister, Rose Cochran; two brothers, Edward Sanders and Herod Sanders (Sarah) all of Round-O, SC along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
