Richardeen "Deen" Hills

Richardeen Hills, affectionately known as Deen, was born on July 28, 1953, in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Richard Hills and Ernestine Davis. She peacefully departed this life on June 8, 2026, at Oak Harbour Healthcare in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.

A proud 1971 graduate of Walterboro High School, Deen embraced faith early in life. She became a member of St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Youmans and continued her walk under Pastor Prince Polite. She served faithfully and joyfully until her health no longer allowed her to do so.

Deen dedicated more than 35 years of service to Dayco, where she worked with commitment and pride until her retirement. Known for her quiet spirit and gentle presence, she touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She loved playing softball, enjoyed the simple joys of life, and above all, cherished her children and grandchildren deeply.

Left to treasure her memory are her children, Celeste (Shawn) Simmons and Donavon (Andrea) Hills; eleven grandchildren; eight great‑grandchildren; three brothers: Wesley (Shirley) Hills, Lorenzo Hills and Curtis (Cynthia) Hills, and a special cousin reared as a brother, Arnold (Robin) Stanfield. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
