Mr. Richard Earl Williams was born on November 8, 1952, in White Hall, South Carolina; to the late Simon and Martha Williams. He attended and graduated from Walterboro High School. Following his education, he enlisted in the United States Army National Guard, where he proudly served and retired after 21 years of dedicated service. During his military career, he also worked in various construction jobs and devoted time to caring for his beloved grandchildren.
Richard is survived by his beautiful wife, Jessie Williams of Yemassee, S.C., with whom he shared 41 years of marriage. He is also survived by his sons, Rodrick (Demita) Williams of Copperas Cove, Texas; Kwame (Ashley) Williams of Yemassee, S.C. and Yusef Kelly Easley, S.C; as well as his daughter, Lavondee Williams of Yemassee, S.C. He leaves behind his brothers, Sherman (Viola) Williams of Yemassee, Michael (Thelma) Williams of Bridgeport, CT, Yancy Williams of Yemassee, and Leonard Williams of New York City, NY and sisters, Queen Ferguson of Ritter, S.C. and Elaine Williams of Yemassee, S.C. He was preceded in death by his brother, Calvin (Novelette) Williams of Yemassee, S.C.
In loving memory, he leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Aalijah, Aamari, Ezekiel, Josiah, Zaniah, Jeremiah, Nehemiah, Jamari, Kemari, Zy'Asia, Zamir and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and caring friends. May their memories bring joy and comfort to all who knew him.
