Rebecca Mae Middleton

Rebecca Mae Middleton was born November 15, 1943, to the late John and Blossom Grahm. She departed this earthly life on Monday March 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. At the conclusion of a modest education, Rebecca married the late Issac Middleton who preceded her in death.  To this union they bore six children. Harriet Chisolm, Everett, Calvin, and Anthony Middleton made heaven their eternal home prior to her departure.

Rebecca grew up in the Whitehall community and later moved to Ritter where she became the neighborhood mother and cook.  On any given day she would feed the community, stretching a pot full making sure all were fed. In addition to being an amazing cook, she was a faithful and dedicated member of the St. Paul CME Church serving on the Pastor Aid, Missionary and Stewardess Board.  She was a soul stirring prayer warrior and dedicated member until her health began to fail.

Rebecca, affectionately known as “Beck”, was a diva in her own right.  She prided herself on always looking her best with the hat to match…and she had to be seen.  As a hard worker, she devoted many years of employment to the Veneer Company, located in Walterboro, SC.  In addition, after completing more than twenty-five years of loyal service, she retired from Dayco Production Company.

Those left to reflect on her legacy and precious memories are her sons Theanphilus Vern (Verlanda) Middleton of Columbia, SC, Tyrone (Hope) Middleton of Walterboro, SC, sibling, Jake (Stella) Graham of Manhattan, June (Gladys) Graham of Charleston, SC, Christina (Queen) Graham Whitehall, SC, Betsy Ann (Nathaniel) Mays of Bamberg, SC, sister-in-law, Angie Sylvia (Nathan Jr.) Gillison  of Walterboro, SC, three children that she raised as her own, Cherish Middleton of Walterboro, SC, Kyleigh Fishburne of Columbia, SC, Mahoghany Middleton of Walterboro, SC, grandchildren, Kenyetta (Quentin) Fishburne of Columbia, SC, Michelle (Lionel) Yates of Lexington, SC, Gregory (Tana) Middleton, Tyrone (Lacey) Middleton,  Kayla Middleton all of Walterboro, SC, TJ Middleton of Columbia, SC, Alayia Middleton of Walterboro, SC, Theron Middleton of Columbia, SC, honorable mention grandsons Deandre Elmore and Marquelle Jones of Walterboro, SC, one loving goddaughter, Iesha Cuttino of Walterboro, SC, forever family member and friends Danielle Middleton and Felicia Cunningham, in addition to an army of too many to name great grand kids, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends who loved and adored her very much.
