Ms. Pernice Williams, the daughter of the late Samuel and Beulah Simmons, was born on September 6, 1971, in Colleton County, South Carolina. On January 12, 2025, she peacefully and quietly entered eternal rest at Savannah Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.
She attended Walterboro High School. At an early age, Pernice joined Trinity AME Church and served on the Usher Board.
Pernice was a dedicated worker who was employed with Hardee’s for many years. To know her or have her play a part in your life was a blessing. She was like a mother to all her nieces and nephews.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her siblings, Amy Middleton (Jay) of Conyers, GA, Julius Holmes (Latoya) of Walterboro, SC, Janie Boyd (Henry) of Summerville, SC, Sam Simmons and Heyward Simmons of Walterboro, SC, Lisa White (Jackie) of Green Pond, SC and Julia Ferrell (Harry) of Neyles, SC; one uncle, Jerome Holmes of Round-O, SC; five aunts, Sadie Holmes (Godmother) and Daisy Holmes of Round-O, SC, Zallia Lee of North Charleston, SC, Rosa Mitchell of Savannah, GA and Ella Ruth Holmes of Walterboro, SC; four cousins that are like brothers and sisters, Sinclair Holmes (Monica), Sherlie Holmes, Deena Holmes and James Holmes; five bonus sisters, Amie Paddyfoote (Paul), Maxine Garland, Stephanie Campbell, Denise Johnson (Travis) and Erika Wright; two godchildren, De’Nashia Davis and Javarie Farmer, Jr.; best friend, Jamie Geathers along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
