The Essence of Her Life
Ms. Stephanie Renee Dantzler, daughter of the late, Lawrence Dantzler and Betty R. Washington Simmons, was born April 17, 1969. Reared and educated in Colleton County, she was a 1988 graduate of Walterboro High School. She continued her education at Technical College of the Lowcountry in Beaufort, South Carolina and received her Associates of Arts Degree. Currently, Stephanie, has been employed as a senior packer, with Brightline Extrusions, Inc. of Summerville, South Carolina for the past nine years.
Stephanie was a firm believer of God and was an active member of Word for Life Ministries. She also served as an “Outreach Director” and was very passionate about her service and people. Most recently, she adopted Chestnut Road in Walterboro, as “Adopt a Highway Project.
To know her was to know an angel on earth. She had a heart of gold and infectious smile, The bond she possessed with her daughters, was inseparable and they were truly, “best friends” You would never see one without the other. On Sunday, May 8, 2022, Stephanie, along with her daughters, Shanice and Miranda, traded time for eternity and departed from this earthly shore. Preceding her in death is her father, Lawrence Dantzler and Stepfather, Julius Simmons.
Left to cherish her memories are mother, Betty R. Simmons; brothers, Eric and Darin Dantzler; stepsisters, Sandra (Abraham) Young and Barbara (Sinclair) Ancrum; stepbrother, Julius (Deneta) Simmons, Jr.; aunts, Jestine (Lewis) McLauren, Vance Lee Washington, Lila Mae Whitted, Catherine (James) Smalls, Frances Washington, Yvonne Washington and Donna Washington; uncles, Eugene Washington, Sr. and Isaac Washington, Sr.; along with a host of nieces, nephews, numerous cousins and friends.
