Ms. Rebecca Nixon

Ms. Rebecca Nixon the daughter of the late Eula Bell Jenkins and Peter Nixon, Sr. was born on September 16, 1968, in Walterboro, SC.  She departed this life on Thursday, July 14th, 2022, at Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro, SC.

Rebecca was affectionately called Beck or Becky and was educated in the Colleton County Public School System. Beck was outgoing, full of life, and loved to talk to any and everyone.    Beck never met a stranger and knew just about everyone.  She embraced young girls and women who needed love, support, and shelter.  She became a foster mom and welcomed many in her home regardless of their circumstances.  She helped raise many kids as she was passionate about helping those in need. Her home was always welcoming, full of love, laughter, and acceptance. One of the ways Beck showed her love for her family was being the best host of family cookouts.  There was always plenty of laughter and many memories created that will last a lifetime.

At an early age Beck became a member of Hunters Chapel Baptist Church in Ruffin, S.C. She is preceded in death by 1 sister; Shirley Parker and 2 brothers; Jasper Jenkins and Keeno Nixon.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Her Father Peter Nixon Sr.(Monica) of Walterboro SC; (3) sons Kendrin Nixon of Ruffin, SC, Trevant Nixon (Abria) and Desmond Nixon both of Walterboro SC; (1) daughter; Nikeya Brunson, of Walterboro SC; Grandchildren-Chevante Brunson, Desmora Nixon, BriOhyna Nixon; Atrivion Brunson, Ra’kell Limehouse, Kmaree Jackson and Nyasia Jackson all of Walterboro, S.C; (7) Sisters Brenda Jenkins, Doretha Jenkins, Cheryl Lewis, Norlissa Nixon,  Victoria Ancrum all of Walterboro SC, Teretha Parker (Harvard), Ruffin SC, and Sylvia Green , Orangeburg S.C. (5) brothers Peter Nixon Jr., Timothy Nixon(Tiffany), ShaRod Nixon,  Jermey Nixon, all of Walterboro SC, and Vondell Sanders, Orangeburg S.C.; A best friend of over 40 years, Stella Saxby, Smoaks S.C., A special friend James Rice and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
