Ms. Queen Fields Taylor was born May 1, 1952, in Round O, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Cubbit Fields, Sr. and Elease Dobson Fields. She graduated from Colleton County High School.
She joined Mount Zion AME Church at an early age and served as a Stewardess and a member of the Gospel Choir.
Queen was employed as a Colleton County School District Attendance Clerk where she retired after over 20 years of service.
She departed this life on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Stafford Hospital in Stafford, Virginia. Preceding her in death along with her parents are five brothers: Sandy, Cubbit Jr., Herbert, James, and Ralph Irvin Fields.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Jarrod Taylor (Katina) of Stafford, Virginia; two grandchildren, Kiara of Charlotte, North Carolina and Jakhari of Stafford, Virginia. Three Sisters: Ms. Ruth Sanders, Mrs. Emma Holmes (Sherman) and Ms. Ann Fields. A Sister-in-Law, Ms. Janie Fields. A host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
