Ms. La-Kesha Logan Obituary

La-Kesha Trendell Logan, affectionally known as Kesha was the eldest daughter of Johnnie Ruth Logan and the late Kent Blease Holliday. She was born on December 2, 1971, in Walterboro, SC and departed this life at 7:07pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

If Kesha was in a room, you knew it because she would light it up. She was always eager to help anyone, quite talkative, witty, a spitfire and she loved people, especially children. She was always friendly, affectionate and very mannerly to all she came in contact with.

Kesha became a member of Canaan Baptist Church at an early age and frequently visited Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she sang on the youth choir for both churches. In her later years she became a member of Bethesda Christian Fellowship.

Kesha attended the schools of Colleton County and graduated Walterboro High School with the class of 1991. She attended the University of South Carolina at Salkahatchie in Walterboro. She was employed with various daycare facilities in Beaufort and Louisville through the years because she loved children to her core.

Kesha was preceded in death by her father, grandparents, Blease and Hilda Holliday and John Henry and Luvern Logan; an aunt, Carrie Logan; an uncle, Harmeen Logan; her adopted second mom, Marie Edwards.

She leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted mother, Johnnie R. Logan of Walterboro, SC; one sister, Sharee L. (Albert) Washington of Summerville, SC; children, Ja'Quis Shamar DeSean (Krystal), and Breana Oua'Shea of Walterboro, SC; Colendies Brian of Shirley, MA; grandchildren, Mariah, Caden, Alexiana, , Liam, Grayson, Isabella, Joseph, Ja'Quis, Carolina, and Kinsley; grandmother, Janice Logan of Long Island, NY; aunts Patricia (Glenn) Grant of Walterboro, SC, Judy Holliday (Curtis) Counts of Columbia, SC and Janaris Trefney of Long Island, NY; uncles, David (Alberta) Logan of Bayonne, NJ, Byron (Carmen) Lambright of Brooklyn, NY; niece, Ms'Greta Gethers of Walterboro, SC; the love of her life, Glenn E. Brock of Clinton, MD; adopted sisters, Latonia (Kenneth) Boyd of Louisville, KY; Zilifia Crawford of Lady's Island, SC; Demetria Brown of St. Helena Island, SC; Akima Jones of Summerville, SC; adopted nephews, Deon (Lenesha) and Lorenzo "Zoe" Blakely of Louisville, KY; adopted nieces, Lutrecia "Nikki" Blakely, Ayana Smalls of Beaufort, SC, Charde' Nay Polite of Louisville, KY, Ky'lese Parker of Florence, AL; Logan Jones of Summerville, SC; Godbrothers, Mark Goff, Edwin Williams and Leviticus Farmer-Chaplin and a host of other relatives and friends.
