Ms. Karen Wesley Obituary

"Trials dark on every hand and we cannot understand, all the ways God will lead us to that blessed land. He will guide us with His eye and we will follow til we die, and we'll understand it better, by and by." We honor the essence of the life of Ms. Karen Victoria Wesley, 51, of Round O, South Carolina.  Ms. Karen Victoria Wesley, daughter of the late Frank Wesley and Diana Riddick; was born March 25, 1969 in Camden, North Carolina. Affectionately loved and known to many as, “Big Girl” or “Vickey”, she departed this life on December 6, 2020 at the Trident Medical Center in Ladson, South Carolina.
 

Being educated in the local public school system, she was a graduate of Walterboro High School class of 1988. Upon receiving her diploma, she entered the workforce. She was employed with the Hyatt Regency of Hilton Head, South Carolina for a number of years, until her health began to decline. Avid in her faith in God, Karen became a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church of Walterboro, South Carolina. She loved to worship and most notably, she loved her Pastor. A woman of valor and strength, to know Karen was to love her. She was a jewel and
leave an essence to be forever remembered in the hearts of all of her beloved family and friends.

Cockrum (Gerry) of Round O, SC: Uncles, Wendell Poole of Oakland, CA, Tony Poole of Walterboro, SC Alphonso Barco (Julie) of Yemassee, SC, Walter Barco (Melissa) of Summerville, SC, Edward Barco of Philadelphia, PA, James Wesley of Virgina and Clarence Wesley of Orlando, Florida: aunts; Mary Poole of Harvey, IL, w Gwendolyn Williams of Oakland, CA, Wilma Taylor (Howard) of Long Island, NY, Stacia Poole of Walterboro, SC, Vivian Forbes of Columbia, SC and Ida Wesley of
Philadelphia, PA: along with a host of special nieces, nephews, other relatives and caring friends.
