Ms. Julia Griffin daughter of the late Casey Pinckney and Ethel Campbell Pinckney was born on October 24, 1947 in Walterboro, SC. She entered eternal rest on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Colleton Medical Center.
Julia attended Colleton County public schools. She employed with Pruitt Health in Walterboro, SC for twenty-five years as a CNA until she retired. Julia joined Mt. Zion AME church at a very young age. She was a wonderful and loving mother who was always there for her children. She will truly be missed by her family and friends as she was well loved in the community.
Preceding her in death along with her parents are daughter, Ethel Griffin; grandson, Martin Brown; four brothers, Casey Pinckney, Jr., Mannalee Pinckney, Elma Campbell and Alexander Pinckney; and two sisters, Mable Grant and Maggie Pinckney.
Left to cherish her loving memories are children, Mortie Lee Griffin, of Atlanta, GA; Fredderick Griffin of Manhattan, NY ; Albert Griffin of Greenville, SC: loving daughter who cared for her, Angela S. Griffin, of Walterboro, SC; grandchildren, JakaiKing, Essance Griffin, Morgan Griffin, Octavia Griffin, Jeremiah Graham, Janay Griffin, Lakeesha Brown, Devon Griffin, Antonio Brown, and Tshawniah Griffin; sisters in law, Vivian Campbell and Evolia Pinckney, along with a host of great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
