Ms. Cynthia Holmes Obituary

Ms. Cynthia Holmes, 68, heard the masters call and peacefully slipped away to her new eternal home on August 21, 2020 at the Pruitt Health of Estill, South Carolina. She will forever be remembered and cherished by those whom have always loved and cherished her. 

Miss Cynthia B. Holmes entered into eternal rest on
Friday August 21st 2020, at Pruitt Health, Estill, South
Carolina. She was born in Walterboro, South Carolina,
and a high school graduate of Colleton County High
School. Class of 1970 and also the last all black class to
graduate from Colleton County High School. In 1977 she
graduated from Voorhees College with a degree in
business administration.

She was the grand-daughter of the late Mr. Bennie Lee

Holmes and mother Ruth Ford-Holmes. The grand-
daughter of the late Mr. Wade J. Taylor and mother Lisa

C. Jamison Taylor and the daughter of the Reverend
Henry Lee Holmes and mother missionary Mabell Taylor
Holmes. Cynthia was a home body and very quiet, she
will be missed dearly. Cynthia confessed to Christ at an
early age and became a member of St. Stephens Church
of God in Christ.

Cynthia leaves to cherish loving memories one beloved
sister, Ms. Vernalia Holmes Williamson, one brother,
Ronald W. Holmes (Cordelia Allen) all of Charlotte,
North Carolina. Three nieces; Monnetta L Simpson,
Conchita L. Simpson, and Frieda Mae Holmes of
Charleston, South Carolina. One nephew Ron Ju Holmes
of Charleston, South Carolina. Three great nieces, two
great nephews, one great great niece and one great great
nephew. One aunt, Mrs. Geneva Taylor of Walterboro,
South Carolina. Host of cousins, other relatives, and
friends.

Public visitation to be held on Friday August 28, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the mortuary.

Graveside Services will be conducted on Saturday August 29, 2020 at 11:00 from the Galilee Baptist Church Cemetery. 

 (Facial masks and social distancing practices will be enforced during the visitation and graveside services.)

On behalf of the family, we ask that you will lift them in prayer as they prepare to celebrate and say farewell to one whom they love.
