Ms.Cecelia (CeeCee) Rivers

Celia Rivers was born in the Bronx,NY on December 12, 1970 to Betty Ann and Benjamin Rivers. She received her education in the NYC Public Schools. She graduated in 1988 from Walton H.S., where she was an elite member of the track team.

Cecelia Rivers, was a Senior Trade Specialist and a resident of Johnston, R.I. She passed away unexpectedly at the age of 50 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence, R.I.

Celia relocated to Lynn, Mass in 1990 and entered the workforce where she worked for BNY Mellon as trade specialist. She then relocated to Kings Mountain, NC from 2003-2006 then relocating to her final resting place Johnston R.I. After working 27 years for BNY Mellon where she was promoted to Senior Trade Specialist.

Cecelia was known to family and friends as CeeCee was also known to be a problem solver who often took on difficult and unwanted tasks at work and at home. She was full of love, laughter, and fun. She lived for her kids and grandkids. Her favorite pastimes was attending all her children sporting and cheering event.She was the best cheer coach ever, she was the true meaning of a soccer mom. She enjoyed traveling, casinos, and spending time with the family (Cousins Retreat, family reunion, birthday celebration, graduation, etc) CeeCee was there.

She is predeceased by her mother Betty Ann Rivers.

Celia is survived by her father Benjamin Rivers Jr., children DaShaun Atkins (Jessica), Kiana, Justin, and Taylor Powell; her grandchildren Alaina, Abryian, and Ainsley; her goddaughter Ronae Rivers Chung, her brother Benjamin Rivers lll, and her sisters Briggett Rivers, Katina Farris, and Melissa Rivers and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. CeeCee was an all-around athletic mom and an avid listener but most of all she was known for her kindness and loving heart. This is why she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
