Mrs. Vataja Monique Linder Tucker, daughter of Mr. Roger and Mrs. Vicky Linder, was born on April 8, 1989 in Paterson, New Jersey. On Saturday, January 12, 2019, while at the Colleton Medical Center, Vataja entered her eternal rest while being surrounded by her family. Growing up in Paterson, New Jersey, Vataja was educated in the local public school system. In 2007, she relocated to Walterboro, South Carolina where she began working with the Kiawah Island Resort of Kiawah Island, South Carolina. After spending some time in the Lowcountry, she met the love of her life, Mr. Curtis Tucker. On December 6, 2012, they would be joined in Holy Matrimony and share the love of union and one daughter, Katana A. Tucker.

Vataja was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. With a smile that would brighten any room, she possessed a pleasant personality and beautiful soul. Also, Vataja had a unique bond with all of her cousins, Shatefa, Janaya, Christina, Cinorya, Stashaya, Tonia, Viceina, Jaron, Eugene, Tyrone, Jerome, Tiffany, Cashon, and Britney, just to name a few.

She leaves her portraits of life to be cherished with her husband, Curtis Tucker; daughter, Katana A. Tucker; parents, Vicky & Roger Linder; grandmother, Sarah Linder; mother in law, Shannel Johnson; sister, Elouise Jenkins; two brothers, Roger Risher and Ramiere Linder; sister in laws, Shannel Johnson, Chasity Johnson, and Shakima Parker; brother in law, Hakeem Tucker; aunts, Julia “Pat Risher” Shelton, Viceina Risher, Maryann (Buddy Eugene) White, Shirley Linder, Harriett Grigg, Joyce Linder, and Yvonne (Tommie) Linder; uncles, Willie Jr. Risher, Kareem Myrick, Willie Dell (Luella) Linder, David Linder, and Johnny Linder; godmother, Tonia Green; God aunt, Leslie Barringer; three best friends, one preceding her in death, James K. rown,Wendy Haynes and Faith Thomas; six nieces and one nephew; along with a host of other relatives and caring friends.
