Mrs. Shirley Ann (Mays) DuBois, daughter of the late Robert Goodwin and Elizabeth Mays; was born on September 27, 1950, in Ruffin, SC. She graduated from Ruffin High School in 1970. At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and joined Deep Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Islandton, SC. On July 10, 1971, she was joined in holy matrimony to Lee DuBois, and to this union, three beautiful daughters were born.
Shirley always had a green thumb and enjoyed taking time to smell the roses. She was a great cook, and her family loved when she cooked collard greens and macaroni and cheese. She put family above everything and drilled the importance of staying together into each of her kids. Most people didn’t know this, but Shirley was quite the comedian and loved to make her family laugh.
