Mrs. Rosalee Hamilton, daughter of the late, Palmer & Evelyn Bowman; was born November 22, 1948 in Walterboro, South Carolina. Educated in the public schools, she attended the Colleton County High School. As she transitioned into her adulthood, she became employed with the former Dayco and Asten Hill Manufacturers, both of Walterboro, South Carolina. In her latter years, she became a caregiver with private home health, until her health began to decline.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. James Ulmer. She then was united in matrimony to the late, Mr. Reginald Hamilton. Becoming a wife and then a mother, Rosalee ensured that family was everything. She became a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church, and served God, faithfully. She devoted her time to her children, church, community and friends. One of her favorite pastimes was being a seamstress; but even more, she loved imparting wisdom into all whom she came in contact with. On Monday: August 23, 2021, Mother Rosalee Hamilton, departed this earthly life, to receive her eternal home in glory. As she has left from this side, her legacy will forever be a sweet comfort to the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Also preceding her in death along with her parents and husband are two brothers; Vernon and Palmer Bowman, Jr.
The essence of her life will be cherished by: Daughters; Yolanda Ulmer, Walterboro, SC and Lashawn U. Saunders, Virginia Beach, VA: three loving grandchildren; Novallis “Novie” Ulmer, Sharena Ruth and Brianna Saunders: one great grandchild, Adrian Ulmer: three sisters; Christine Radcliff and Carolyn Bowman both of Walterboro, SC and Geraldine (Albert) Gibbs, Chesapeake, VA: three brothers; Lawrence (Gloria) Bowman, James (Shirley) Bowman both of Walterboro, SC, and Johnny (Addie) Bailey of Summerville, SC: three aunts, Helen Norris, Verlie Mae Bowman and Betty Bowman: uncles, Pastor William (Emma) Bowman and Amos (Mary) Bowman: two adopted sisters, Pearline Williams and Diane Downey: along with a host of other relatives & friends.
