Mrs. Linda Sue Garrett , daughter of the late Leroy Colleton Sr. and Carrie Bell (Grace) Colleton; was born on February 2,1962. She grew up in the Roadside community. She joined the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Yemassee, SC at an early age. She graduated from Walterboro High School in 1980. She was a substitute teacher and a bus monitor.
Linda loved to fish and DJ. She was an excellent cook. She loved sports especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Braves, and the Lakers. On March 26,1982 she was joined into holy matrimony to her soul mate Nathan Garrett.
She leaves to cherish her memories; her husband Nathan Garrett; loving son Gerrodney Champolian (Lakesha) Garrett Sr., her sunshine and the apple of her eye, grandson , Gerrodney (Junior) C. Garrett, Taneisha, and Keshawn; siblings, Ada (Bruce) Grant and Jeanette Washington; mother-in-law Ella Garrett Perry; sisters in laws , Mamie Colleton, Alfredia Alexander, Debra ( Keith) Truesdale, Barbara Holmes Goodwin, Lillian Wright, Diane Ervin Heyward, and Pam; brother in laws, Floyd ( Vivian) Garrett, Ronnie Garrett, Gussie (Ryan) Garrett, Herman White, and Charley Jr.; aunts, Thelma Jones, Emma Ross, and Viola Ferguson; special friends, Clara and Darin Taylor, Gracie Green, and Rebecca Wright, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
