Mrs. Jettie Ruth (Williams) Brown

Mrs. Jettie Ruth Williams Brown, daughter of the late Benjamin Siders and Mrs. Ruth Ella Burgess Siders: was born October 16, 1944, in rural Colleton County.   Reared in Walterboro, she received her early education in the local public school system.  During her high school years, Jettie was known for her skills on the basketball court. She graduated from The Colleton High Class of 1962.  In later years, Jettie met the love of her life, Mr. Robbie Brown, Jr. On April 18, 1969, Jettie and Robbie became one. This union would be blessed with two wonderful sons, and years of love and devotion to one another until his passing.

Jettie was employed throughout her life, as an office manager with Clyde Ackerman Law Firm. She then joined her husband and became the secretary of RBJ Masonary. 

Jettie was a true woman of faith. She was baptized and became a member of the Church of Atonement of Walterboro, SC, where she also served as the church secretary.  A loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and so much more: Jettie was a jewel.  She was a fun loving, individual.  She loved to smile, and laugh, and always looked forward to having a good time.  She was very family oriented, and she ensured that all was well with everyone around her. 

During the evening hours of Wednesday: July 19, 2023; God looked down and saw his beloved daughter, Jettie was getting tired.  At approximately 5:25 P.M., Jettie departed from the shores of time, to join her Lord and Savior. 

Left on this side to embrace the reflections of her life are: two sons of the home, Frederick A. Brown and Robbie Brown, III: mother, Ruth Ella Siders: two grandchildren reared in the home, Frederick “Rocky” Brown and Breanna Brown: grandchildren, Octavia, Craig, Alex, Jamal and Unique: two sisters, Tina Williams and Diane Siders: two brothers, Robert (Marilyn) Siders and Benjamin (Jean) Siders: sisters in law, Mary Alice Waymer, Sandra Rhodes, Vivian Williams and Janice (Roger) Williams: brother in law, Ricky Brown: special cousin, Millicent Booker: along with a host of numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
