The Portrait of Life
Ms. Inez Walker, daughter of the late Nathan & Neader Walker, Sr.; was born February 16, 1938, in Cottageville, South Carolina. She was educated in the public schools of Colleton County. As she stepped into adulthood, she entered the workforce. She became employed with the former Ideal Cleaners and remained a dedicated worker for numerous years. As an adult, she went on to inherit her mother’s gift of quilting. She lovingly hand stitched many beautiful quilts for people in the community. She was also an avid lover of assorted puzzle books and watched her game shows faithfully.
Inez was a true jewel in and for her family. She loved God and had true relationship with him. She instilled love into her family through demonstration of love and caring for her family and friends. An esteemed mother, cherished grandmother, loving sister, and so much more, her presence will truly be missed but her legacy will continue to live on.
On Tuesday, October 4, 2022, surrounded by her family, Inez departed from this earthly life. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by: brothers, Cohen Walker, Aldrin L. Walker, Herbert Walker; sister, Helen M. Walker; a special cousin, Danny Ray Sanders: and two nephews whom she helped raise, Navar and Zachary Bennett.
Left behind to cherish her loving memories are; three sons, Carl A. Walker and Vincent J. Walker of Walterboro, SC and Kelvin L. Walker of Atlanta, GA; three brothers, Nathan Walker, Jr. (Jestine) of Cottageville, SC, Clarence Walker (Delores) of Washington, DC and Lenell Walker (Sarah) of Round O, SC; two sisters, Virginia M.
