Mrs. Florence Dukes Campbell

For now, I am ready to be offered and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight; I have kept the faith. Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord Righteous Judge, shall give me at that day and not to me only; but, unto all them also that love his appearing.”

Mrs. Florence Dukes Campbell, daughter of the late Charlie and Maybell Dukes, was born March 8, 1929 in Savannah, Georgia. She was educated in the public schools of Colleton County. For numerous years, Florence was employed with Council on Aging until her retirement.

Avid in her faith, at an early age she became a member of the Mount Zion AME Church of Round O, SC. On July 17, 1987, Florence was joined in holy matrimony to the love of her love, Mr. Pink E. Campbell, Jr. They would share years of love and devotion to one another until the very end.  Florence was a loving wife, mother, sister, and sincere, kind-hearted friend. To her grandchildren, she was bigger than life, calm and sincere. She possessed a friendly nature that endeared her to the hearts of all whom she came in contact with. 

Ultimately, on July 21, 2021 the Lord gave the final call, and our dear Florence D. Campbell, traded time for eternity.  Preceding her in death are two children; Charles Doyle and Janie Belinda Miller: grandson, Damon Doyle: and one son that departed one day after her, Randy Miller.

Always remembering her legacy, she leaves to mourn: devoted husband, Pink E. Campbell: son, Deacon Michael (Alzitia) Miller of Summerville, SC: daughter, Celeste Miller of Summerville, SC: thirteen grandchildren: twenty-six great grandchildren, one great great-grand child: one god daughter, Vera Scrivens, along with a host of numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

As the service arrangements have been entrusted to the capable care of Koger's Mortuary Service: there will be a walk thru visitation on Tuesday: January 26, 2021; 4:00-7:00 P.M.  Graveside services will conclude on Wednesday: January 27, 2021, One O' Clock in the afternoon: Mt Zion AME Church Cemetery, 3381 Coolers Dairy Road. Round O, SC.  (In an effort to protect the public health and reduce the spread of Covid-19; facial masks along with social distancing practices will be strongly enforced.)

Please continue to lift this bereaving family in prayer, as they embark upon their journey to healing, as they grieve one whom they mourn.
