Mrs. Caroline Wilder Obituary

The Reflection of Her Legacy

“A Loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and a loyal friend: Mrs. Caroline Helton Wilder, was called Home by God to receive her wings, during the morning hours of Wednesday: May 3, 2023. The eldest daughter of the late, Solomon Helton, Sr. and Betty Ann Brown, was born November 21, 1967. As a youth she was reared by Mrs. Bertha Jones Helton and received her formal education in the public school system of Colleton County.

Caroline was a true woman of faith and devoted her life to Christ at an early age.  As an adult, she became a born-again believer and member of the Sandhill Baptist Church of Walterboro, South Carolina, under the leadership of her amazing Pastor, Reverend Gregory Clayton. She was about the business of the church and served faithfully as an usher alongside her beloved husband, Rodney; ensuring that she greeted each and everyone with a radiant smile.

Caroline believed in true love, she was formerly joined in matrimony to Mr. Randy M. Jamison, and this union would be blessed with one daughter, Phylicia A. Jamison. As time would pass, Caroline would continue and find Mr. Rodney Wilder, and these two would be one, as they were joined in Holy Matrimony on March 24, 2006. This union would be blessed with over seventeen years of love and devotion; along with a set of wonderful twins, Rodney, and Raven Wilder.

To know Caroline was to truly love her.  She was a loving woman and never EVER met a stranger.  She enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest as best as she could, according to the Word of God.  We all have lost a huge piece of our hearts, but we will FOREVER, keep her memories, her name, and her legacy, in our hearts.

Preceding her in death along with her parents are: brothers, Solomon Helton, Jr., John W. Helton and Rodney Helton.

Left on this side to continue honoring the reflections of her life are: devoted husband, Rodney Alfonso Wilder of the home: her “Fantastic 9” loving children: Craig Helton “Craig E Man” of Walterboro, SC; Phylicia Jamison Williams “Ash” of Summerville, SC; Jessica Frederick “Jesse” of Walterboro, SC; Jennifer Frederick “Jenny-Pooh” of Greenville, SC; Antwain Frederick “Tiger” of Florence, SC; Selena McCord “Lena” of Walterboro, SC; Carolina Walker “Mooka-Baby” of Greenville, SC; Rodney Wilder, Jr. “Junior” and Raven Wilder “Ra-ra” both of Walterboro, SC: her three loving grandchildren, David Williams, Jr. “D.A.”, Jordan Williams “Jo-jo” and Amari Jenkins “Puddin”: Sister, Yvonne Helton of Walterboro, SC: brothers, Charles Scott Helton and Cornelius “Pooh” Helton, both of Walterboro, SC:  Special mother figure, Evangelist Katherine (Benjamin) Jakes of Walterboro, SC: sisters-in-law, Andrea Wilder of Miami, FL; Jackie Smalls  and Anita McNeil, both of Charleston, SC: brothers in law, Roy Smalls and Orien McNeil, both of Charleston, SC; Owen McNeil of Raleigh, NC; and Oliver McNeil of Charleston, SC: uncles, Bernard Helton Waldhour of Walterboro, SC; Leonard Helton of Summerville, SC; Ricky Combs and Amos Helton both of Walterboro, SC: aunts, Patricia Helton, Sarah Helton and Essie Waldhour, all of Walterboro, SC:  along with a host of numerous other relatives and friends all who will miss her dearly .
