Mrs. Brenda A. Simmons

Respectfully, we honor the life of Mrs. Brenda A. Simmons.  Mrs. Simmons, 59, resided in Philadelphia, PA ; and was a loving wife, daughter, sister, and friend to all who knew her.

Brenda A. Simmons, the daughter of Alma R. Simmons and Joseph Mitchell, Jr. was born on March 31, 1960 in Charleston, SC. (She was the middle of three siblings, Harold H. Simmons, Jr., and Monique J. Simmons-Hollaway.) Brenda transitioned from this life of Saturday, December 28, 2019 at her home in Philadelphia, PA.

Today, we gather as one to celebrate and honor the life of a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend.

From 1960 to 2003 Brenda lived in New York (The Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, and then returned to
The Bronx.) She was a graduate of Dodge Vocational High School and she also attended Bronx Community College and Monroe College.

On June 26, 1992 Brenda was joined in holy matrimony to Sadeek Ira B. Green and they lived in Philadelphia, PA from January 2003 to December 2019.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Sadeek Ira B. Green of Philadelphia, PA; loving mother, Alma R. Simmons of Douglasville, GA;siblings, Harold H. Simmons, Jr. of Huntington, NY; and Monique J. Simmons-Hollaway of Douglasville, GA; mother in law, Beatrice McLeod; brothers-in-law, Clarence R. Green, Cedric A. Green (Renee), sister-in-law, Muriel R. Pollard, all of Philadelphia,PA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
