Brenda Lee Belton, a devoted wife, proud mother, self-less grandmother, thoughtful daughter, stylish and sassy sister, tender-hearted aunt, best friend turned sister and hardworking and dedicated co-worker departed this life on November 20, 2020. Brenda was born on February 24, 1950 in Ossining, New York to the late father, Samuel W. Drumgold and mother, Eunice M. Smith Drumgold. Brenda is pre-deceased by her two loving younger brothers, John, “Jay” Drumgold and Samuel, “Carlton” Drumgold.

Brenda was raised and educated in Ossining, New York. Brenda retired for the U.S. Postal Service where she was known as the go to person for personnel problem because she was the voice for the voiceless. She was known for her outgoing personality, soft heart and giving spirit. Brenda enjoyed getting her hair and nails done, holidays especially Christmas, spending time with her children, going on vacations, playing spaded and word games, and let us not forget her iPad in her recreational time.

Brenda leaves to cherish and celebrate her memory, her loving and devoted husband, Herman Lee Belton of Lexington, South Carolina. They were joined in matrimony January 16, 1971 in which they shared a lifelong bond, everlasting love, and lifetime of memories.  This was not only his life-partner, but this was also his wife, his confidant and his EVERYTHING! One sister, Brenda’s baby Jean “Patty” Walker of Everett, Washington. To know Brenda, is to know that she IS her sister’s keeper, today, yesterday and forever.

Two daughter, Martha Belton of Lexington, South Carolina; and Kisha Belton Conaway and her husband Kevin Conaway of Ruffin, South Carolina; one son, Michael Belton and his wife Terry Belton of New Windsor, New York. Lastly, her bonus daughter, Courtney Dixon and her husband Ronald Dixon.

Although she LOVED her children, her grandchildren were really the apple of her eye, Michael Taylor, Kiana, Caylan, Kym, Kristopher and Corey. She was also blessed to have bonus grandbabies who she received as her own: Sara, Kristal, Demonie, Demiah, and Ronya.

In addition to, Brenda’s great grandchildren, Essence Hogue who was her inquisitive baby always asking questions and Kion Dixon, her twin born four days before his mema’s birthday, and they have been inseparable since birth unless their arguing over her iPad.

Lastly, Desiree, Brenda had two reason to go to NY. Her son Michael Belton, and her goddaughter Desiree. Desiree held a special place in her heart as her well-manner, beautiful goddaughter.

Brenda also leaves a host of in-laws the Belton’s, nieces, nephews, other relative and friends who held a special place in her heart and life.

As Brenda’s long-time friend stated, “she was a class act and the most fashionable.”
