Mr. Sam Brown, the second child of Willie Brown Sr., Julia Lessington-Brown, and Dorothy Wyatt- Brown: was born on December 22, 1938, in Green Pond, S.C. He received his education in the public school system of Colleton County. He worked as superintendent at the Crestwood Condominium of Kew Garden, N.Y.
At the peak of his life, Sam received Christ as his lord and savior. He was a man of few words, and one who never complained. He loved his family very much and was always willing to help others in need.
During the afternoon hours of Tuesday: October 12, 2022, at 3:40 P.M. while at the Oak Brook Health and Rehab Center in Summerville, S.C., Sam departed from this earthly shore. Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by four brothers, and one sister.
He leaves to cherish his memories, three children; Bobby Brown, Jr. of Green Pond, S.C, Barbara Rhode of Lady’s Island, S.C, and Theresa (Floyd) Mulligan of Green Pond, S.C.: one step-daughter: Georgia (James) Jones of Walterboro, S.C.: two sisters; Barbara Brown of Green Pond, S.C and Sandra (Harold) Williams of Bronx, N.Y.: two brothers, Anthony (Jennifer) Brown of St. Louis, M.O, and Sintclair (Jacqueline) Brown of Green Pond, S.C.: sisters in law, Betty Brown and Deloris Brown of New York, NY, and Ardell Lucy-Brown of Warfield, VA: eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren: along with a host of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and nephews, other relatives and friends.
We welcome each of you to share in expressions of sympathy and remembrance, as well as continue to pray with this family, during this most difficult time.
