Rodney L. Farmer, youngest son of the late William Lee and Lizzie Blanche Farmer, was born in Colleton County of South Carolina on October 31, 1953. Rodney departed his life to find peace and rest in the Lord on Friday on March 18, 2022.
At an early age, Rodney joined St. John AME Church where he served in several of its ministries: the Young People’s Division, the Usher’s Board, Men’s Choir, and the Sons of Allen as president.
Rodney attended the public schools in Colleton County, and he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Voorhees College, Denmark, SC in Business Administration. He was a member of Omega PSI Phi Fraternity.
During his many years of professional employment, Rodney worked for a variety of companies in a variety of managerial capacities. Upon his death, he was employed by Colleton County School System and also doing what his number one passion was, coaching Little League Baseball.
Rodney Leaves to rejoice and cherish his life: his brother, Robert (Deborah) Farmer of Bolingbrook, IL; his sister, Judi Menzie of Oxnard, Ca; a devoted friend, Ms. Jackie Young; nephew, Robert Farmer II of Granbury, Tx.; nieces, Kimberly Willis of Bolingbrook, IL, Brandy Winchester of Columbus, Oh, Myesha Watkins of Oakland, Ca., XeQuiera Watkins-Barrow of Sugarland, Tx, and a long list of relatives and friends.
