The portraits of the life of Mr. Robert Lee Bryant, will forever reign in the hearts of his family. A resident of Lodge, South Carolina; Mr. Bryant, 54, shall forever be cherished by his loving wife children and family.
In response to COVID-19 and compliance with the governing officials; along with respect to the wishes of the family: They have requested no visitors during this time as well as no public visitation. They will conduct a private graveside service. However, they sincerely thank each and every one for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time and will acknowledge all acts of kindness shown to them at a later date.
Robert Lee Bryant was born on December 26, 1966 in Williams, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Climpson Bryant and the late Barbara Rivers Bryant. He departed this life, early Wednesday, April 1, at his residence.
Robert was a 1985 graduate of Ruffin High School and he attended Denmark Technical College, where in 1986 he received an Honor Certificate in Welding. He first worked at Hampton Tool and Die in Hampton, South Carolina. He then went to work for the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) for 25 years, and was employed at the Willie Bryant Section Shed, Ruffin, South Carolina, until the time of his death.
He joined Sykes Savannah United Methodist Church at an early age. He served as a member of the usher board. He was also a former president and member of the United Methodist Men. Robert was always willing to help his church whenever asked or needed. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, a supportive brother, uncle, godfather, and a good friend. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and gardening. His greatest enjoyment was his work and friendships made at the SCDOT family.
He was united in holy matrimony to Yolanda Diane Walker Stephens. This union was blessed with two children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Climpson and Barbara Bryant; two brothers, Ernest L. H. Bryant and Marion David Bryant.
He leaves to cherish his life and precious memory, his loving and devoted wife, Yolanda Bryant, his daughter, Tiffani NiCole Bryant of Beaufort, South Carolina, son, Ernest DeVon Bryant of Summerville, South Carolina, and his goddaughter, Denetta Brannum, of the home. His sisters: Darlene (Darryl) Bryant, Shirley Bryant, Janet (Wilbert) Neals, all of Orangeburg, South Carolina, and Jennifer Bryant of Columbia, South Carolina. He also leaves one brother, Curtis Bryant of North Carolina. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
