Mr. Robert Brown, Jr. Obituary

We honor the life of Mr. Robert Lee Brown, Jr. of Round O, S.C.  Affectionately known by all his loved ones as, "Bubba"; Mr. Brown was a loving family man and friend.

On Thursday morning February 13, 2020, an angel of the Lord came and transitioned our beloved Bro. Robert L. Brown from this Earthly life to a sweet Fellowship in Heaven. Without looking back to bid us farewell he crossed into a land that is fairer than day.

Bro. Robert L. Brown was born January 29, 1953 to Rosa Bell Hoffman and Robert Lee Brown, Sr. He was raised by Rev. Graham B. Brown and Mrs. Neatha Fishburne Brown.
He was educated at the former Snipe Elementary School of Round-O, South Carolina and then graduated from Colleton High School of Walterboro, South Carolina. Upon graduation, Robert enlisted in the US Army and received many awards and medals for his distinguished service. After being Honorably Discharged from the military, he resided in Philadelphia, PA. While in Philadelphia, he became a father to his son, Robert Lee Brown, III. In April 1996, he returned to Round O, SC and became gainfully employed with Rogers and Son Construction until his retirement.
Affectionately known as “Bubba”, he was a loving father, brother, uncle and cousin, to many. He loved spending time with his family and friends, while lending a helping hand to all of those who were in need.

Early in his life, Robert joined Trinity A.M. E Church in Round-O, South Carolina. In September 2011, under the pastorate of Rev. Darryl Lee, Bro. Robert L Brown reunited back with Trinity AME Church. He would never say no, just “I Am Not Like I Use to be, But I’ll do My Best.” Bro. Robert Brown served on the Trustee Board, Commission on Stewardship, Finance, and was an avid Sunday School Student.

Preceding him in death along with his parents, are: sisters Bina, Pandora, Delphine, Martha “Corrine” and brothers Burney and Phillip.

His life will be remembered and cherished by his Sister, Ruby Ladson: Nieces and Nephews; Kashia Brown, Sheneda Byrd, Edward Brown, Vanessa Rogers, Ida McQueen, Tanya Ladson, Malcolm Ladson, Ronnie Brown, Sr., Tamika Brown, Trina Brown, Frederick Brown, Burney Graham Brown III, and Fatenia Brown: Aunts, Louise Wright, Lucinda Richards and Rebecca Clark: Special Cousins, Sherman Holmes and Cleveland Holmes: along with a host of numerous other relatives and friends.
