Mr. Rick “Ricky” Copeland, son of the late Rev. Leonard & Lady Masleen Copeland; was born March 2, 1958; in Walterboro, South Carolina.
He was educated in the public schools of Colleton County. After graduating, he became employed with Godwin (Dean) Building Supply. He remained employed with them for numerous years, until his health began to decline. As time went on, he met the love of his life, Shirley Bodison. On March 5, 1986, Rick and Shirley were joined in Holy Matrimony. They would remain together for thirty-five years, until his passing.
To know Rick was to love him. He never met a stranger. His favorite pastimes included playing cards and watching sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys.
On Wednesday: November 3, 2021, Rick departed this earthly life. Along with his parents, Rick is also preceded in death by three brothers. Left to cherish his memories are: wife, Shirley Copeland: three sisters, Linda Gadsden, Darlene (Ricky) Martin and Lady Desiree (Pastor Charles) Price: two brothers, Donald Copeland and Ronnie Rumph: four brother in laws; four sister in laws; along with a host of numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and caring friends.
