Mr. Morris Green, the second eldest of thirteen and son of the late Leroy Green, Sr. and Wilhemina Chisolm Green, was born May 15, 1968, in Walterboro, South Carolina. Morris was educated in the public schools of Colleton County and graduated from Walterboro High School class of 1986. After graduating from high school, Morris entered the workforce. He was employed in both the construction and utilities fields over the course of his career - Ertel Construction, Inc. Sentry Engineering Group, Inc.; Claycor Contractors; Sumter Utilities; and most recently, Stono Concrete, Inc.
Morris was joined in holy matrimony to Mrs. Barbara Ferguson Green, and this union would be blessed with five children. He possessed a caring spirit and a very generous heart. His family was his life and meant everything to him. His hobbies also included, hunting, fishing, cooking, and collecting all sorts of hats.
On Thursday, June 16, Morris departed from this earthly life, while at the MUSC of Charleston, South Carolina. Preceding him in death, along with his father is one brother, Donald Green.
Left to embrace the memories of his life are: wife, Barbara Green of Walterboro, SC; four sons, Terez Ferguson, Tremaine Ferguson, Taylor Green and Tyler Green, all of Walterboro, SC; one daughter, Shanequa Green of Walterboro, SC; two loving granddaughters, Kaylee Monique Ferguson and Skylar Simone Ferguson; loving mother, Wilhemina Green of Walterboro, SC; siblings, Leroy Green, Jr. of Walterboro, SC; Sherman (Ellen) Green of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; Rosa Green of Saint John, Florida; Sabrina (Reginald) Whitehead, of Portsmouth, Virginia; Daphne Green of Vienna, Virginia; Gerald (Schrita) Green of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Barai (Dawn) Green of Summerville, SC; Terry (Malicha) Green of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Gloria Green Walker of North Charleston, SC; DaMaar (Josh) Green of Concord, California; and Marcus (Ebony) Green of Fayetteville, North Carolina: five brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law; close devoted friend of twenty three years; along with a host of numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
