Respectfully, we share in the fond memories of Mr. Lonnie B. Brown, Sr.
Mr. Lonnie Bernard Brown, Sr., son of Mrs. Lina Brown Sims & the late Mr. James Wigfall; was born on December 15, 1954 in Jacksonboro, South Carolina. As a youth he was educated in the public-school system of Colleton and Charleston Counties. Upon his graduation, he furthered his studies with the Nielsen Electronic Institution of Charleston, South Carolina. Later in life, Lonnie enlisted with the U.S. Navy. He would serve in the Vietnam War during his time, and then go on to be honorably discharged. Lonnie then would spend numerous years being employed as a carpenter.
Raised in a Christian home, Lonnie was always taught, “put God first.” He would help any church in any way possible. He was a loving father, son, brother, relative and friend. He will always be remembered for: his caring spirit, riding his bicycle, loving personality and smiling presence. He has impacted the lives of everyone, whose paths he came across.
On Friday: January 17, 2020, God sent His divine angels down to escort Home, His precious son, Lonnie. Gone from our presence on this side, he will forever be missed yet cherished. The legacy and memories of his life will live on through: three children; Quincy (Yolanda) Brown, Lonnie (Lanekia) Brown, Jr. and Audrey Brown: mother, Lena B. Sims: siblings; Vincent L. Sims, Michael (Treyniece) Sims, Wayne (Amanda) Sims, Edna Wigfall-Crute, Yvonne Wigfall, Arnold Wigfall and Renee Wigfall: thirteen grandchildren: one loving great grand: special friend, Betty Holmes: along with a host of numerous other relatives and friends.
