Mr. Lloyd Edward Jones

Lloyd Edward Jones was born on August 5th, 1945 in Round O, South Carolina. To the late Robbie and Florrie Mae Jones. Lloyd is survived by his loving children; son Christopher and four stepchildren; Monica, Wandra, David, and Kelley. In 1964, he graduated from Colleton High School and joined the Army where he served until 1967. In 1973, he started his career at the Hyatt Orlando in landscaping where he received several awards including Manager of the Quarter, Employee of the Year, and the Spirit Award. Soon after merging, he became the assistant manager of Engineering for Hyatt Orlando. Also, as Coach of the Hyatt Softball Team, he led them to win the Regional Award, all while he studied Horticultural at Valencia Community College.

In 1981, he met Marcia Ann and they got married on May 18, 1991, in Poinciana, Florida. He was a devout member of Allen Chapel AME in Beaufort and began a mission to help his community after retirement by providing food and school supplies to the needy. His love for landscaping led him to create his own landscaping business, which he maintained until 2022.
Lloyd is proceeded in death by his wife, Marcia, and brother Marvin. Mr. Jones leaves behind his siblings, brother James and sister Betty Mae. He also leaves behind two daughters-in-law; Ivelisse and Latoya; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, cousins David and Pearlie Mae Smith and a host of nieces and nephews.
