Lee Burgess Fields Jr., affectionately called, "Michael," was born on January 23, 1956, in Charleston, South Carolina, to the late Lee Burgess Fields, Sr. and Helen Fair Fields of Ritter, South Carolina.
He entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at his residence in Armona, California. Preceding him in death, is his wife of 39 years, Katherine Young Fields, and also, one daughter, Dawnetta Fields Fooks.
Lee was educated in the Colleton County Public School system. Lee pursued his higher educational studies at Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina in 1974. Lee enjoyed a long career in the United States Navy and toured various countries including Japan. His 20 years of service included serving during the Persian Gulf War. During this time, he met and was joined in Holy Matrimony with Katherine Young and created a beautiful loving family which he shared his love for life and sports.
He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and loved spending time with his family and friends. Lee loved to laugh and had a gentle spirit. He enjoyed giving advice to his loved ones.
Lee leaves to cherish his memories, 2 daughters, Deidre Lee Ann Fields; Tiah Shanette Fields; of Armona, California , 3 Grandchildren: Seleena Edrianna-Angeles Wright, David Nathaniel Anguilar, Sereena Elizabeth Leija and 4 great grandchildren: Alliahkai, Castle, and Levee Wright Klyde Meyers 2 brothers: Ronald C. Fields (Elaine G)of Walterboro, SC David W. Fields(Windy G)of Macon, Georgia I sister Deborah F. Brown(Frederick)of Walterboro, SC 4 Nephews Kristopher B. Brown (Selentia D.) of Walterboro, SC Nicholas T. Brown(Ritter, SC) Terrence M Brown(Columbia, SC) Jacouri D. Fields(Macon, Georgia) 2 grandnephews Krishawn and Savion Brown 1 grandniece, DeZiyah N .
