Julius “Natty Boy” Campbell the eldest son of Lillie Washington and the late Louis Johnson, Sr. was born April 1, 1954 in Colleton County. He departed this life on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Summerville Medical Center.
He attended the public schools of Colleton County. Graduating class of 1972.
Julius was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church. He served as a member of the Male Choir and also as the secretary to the United Methodist Men Group. He enjoyed fishing and cruising with his family and friends. He was loved by everyone whom he encountered. Julius loved helping others. He had a special saying “Yello, what’s the deal.” He was employed with Adams Construction, Pinckney Construction, and retired from Sanders Brothers.
He was united in holy matrimony on May 2, 1985, and to this union one child was born.
He leaves to cherish his memories : his loving wife Menneather Joyner Campbell, daughter, Amonica Campbell, mother Lillie Washington all of Cottageville, SC. His siblings; Evangelist Selma (Lavon) Brabham, Varnville, SC; Priscilla (Ralph) Hill, Milledgeville, GA; Robert (Rosita) Washington, Tucson, AZ; Beverly (Greg) Lewis, Walterboro, SC; Jerrime Washington Cottageville , SC; Monica Johnson and Louis Johnson, Jr. both of Capital Heights, MD; Two special cousins raised as brother and Sister, Ernest Campbell, Manteo, NC; and Francine Heyward, Walterboro, SC; Sisters-In-law, Margaret (Wayne) Sumter, Jacksonville, NC; Lessie Frasier, Cottageville, SC; Annette Williams, Hendersonville, SC; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
