Mr. Jervey Berry Fields, Jr, the son of the late Jervey Berry Fields, Sr and Mary H. Fields, was born March 14, 1972, in Waterboro, SC. Graduating in 1990 from Walterboro High School; he was a member of the track team, participated in the shot put and cross country running. After graduating, Jervey became employed at Longhorn restaurant where he wore many hats to include, server, cook and greeter. Jervey was a faithful member of Mount Olive Baptist church and later changed his membership to New Life United Methodist church where he served in the Men’s Ministry.
Affectionately called, “Jay” he was a truly unique individual. He was loved by his family and adored by all of his friends. On Tuesday: August 16, 2022; Jervey traded his time on earth for eternity with his Heavenly Father. His passing has left a void, but his legacy will always be a comfort. Jervey is preceded in death by his father, Jervey Fields, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother, Mary H Fields; his brothers Stanley Fields Walterboro, SC and Jeremy Fields Charlotte, NC; sisters, Angelette (Selene) Cypress-McNairy Charlotte, NC and Natalie Fields Walterboro, SC. Jay was a proud uncle of his nieces and nephews; Stephen Cypress El Paso, Tx, Sheila (Marcus) Dines Charlotte, NC, Taj Cypress Tucson, AZ, Jordan Fields Columbus, GA and Justin Fields Columbus, GA; great nieces, Siana Cypress, Amaya Cypress and great nephew, Karter Dines, and a host of numerous other relatives and friends. Special thanks to his caregiver & friend, Jackie Jenkins, and his loving uncle Charles Williams; for their unwavering love, compassion and care demonstrated to our dear. Jay.
As service arrangements have been updated below, please note the celebration of life services will be livestreamed. Online condolences are welcomed. A facial mask will be REQUIRED prior to entering facilities for all final services.
