Mr. James Brown Obituary

“God saw that the hills, were getting hard to climb, so He gently closed your weary eyes, and said, “Peace is Thine.”

Mr. James Brown, son of the late Jessie Span Brown and Lucille Pencile Brown, was born January 7, 1972 in Colleton County. As a youth and into his early teenage years, James received his formal education through the public school system. Never meeting a stranger, and a man of family always enjoying life, James was loved by everyone who came in contact with him. Affectionately known as, “Mickey”, he resided in the Brick Chimney community of Yemassee, South Carolina; his entire life.

On Friday: July 23, 2021, a link in our family chain was broken and the life of our dear, “Mickey,” transitioned into a life in eternity. He is preceded in death by: grandparents, Eugene & Leola Pencile, Sr. and Emma & Dan Brown: two brothers, Joseph and Jessie: uncles, Eugene, David, Abraham, Roger Pencile: Henry, Josh, Willie and Paul Brown:  along with aunts:  Lillie P. Brown, Dora Myers, Naomi Nestfield and Nancy Chisolm.

Left on this side to cherish his memories are: brothers, Sammy Brown, Jamie (Wanda) Brown, Kinard (Denise) Brown and John Brown all of Yemassee, South Carolina: aunts, Sylvia Pencile, Daisy Manigo and Martha Pencile: uncles, Lewis Pencile, Arthur (Sandra) Washington, Prince Brown and  John Williams: special cousins, Melissa (Al) Brown, Emma Springer, Sandra Brown, Carolyn (Joe) Riley, Jake (Lela) Myers, Albert “Sunnyboy” Brown and Ronnie Brown: two special friends,  Andy “Eagle” Williams and Clyde Smalls: along with a host of numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
