Mr. Jacob Doctor Obituary

It is with a grateful heart; we honor the legacy of the life of Mr. Jacob "Doc" Doctor.

Mr. Jacob “Doc” Doctor, son of the late Haygood & Eva Sattlefield Doctor, was born October 30, 1934, in Walterboro, South Carolina.  He received his early education in the public schools of Colleton County.  As he stepped into adulthood, Jacob enlisted with the United States Army and would serve his country for over twenty years.  After his first retirement from the Army, he became gainfully employed as a government contractor and would work until his second retirement.  Not being one to settle down, Jacob ventured and would go one to become the sole owner/operator of “Doc’s Stop and Shop.”  During his time, Jacob dedicated all his time and energy into the store, ensuring that he was always serving the community.

Knowing he that finds a wife, has found a good thing. On October 18, 1960, after finding his good thing; Jacob was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Ms. Ethel Mae Barnes.  This union would be blessed with six wonderful children, that were born to continue his legacy.  At a young age, he became a member of the Cypress Creek Christian Church.  Before his passing, Jacob sought for a closer walk and rededicated his life back to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

During the early morning hours of Wednesday: December 22, 2022; God in His infinite wisdom, dispatched an angel to escort home his beloved son, Mr. Jacob Doctor.
