Respectfully, we announce the passing of Mr. Henry Leon Aiken, 65, of Ruffin, South Carolina.
Mr. Aiken was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and so much more to all who knew and loved him. His legacy spoke volumes to everyone he met and his life will forever be cherished.
Public visitation will be held on Thursday February 4, 2021 4:00-7:00 PM at the mortuary. The Celebration of Life will be held on Friday February 5, 2021 at 11 O’clock in the Morning in Legacy Chapel of Koger’s Mortuary. Reverend Keon C. Stephens, presiding and eulogist.

Mr. Henry Leon Aiken, better known as “Hanky” was the son of the late Norman and Rosa Aiken, born on August 30,1955 in Summerton, South Carolina. On January 31, 2021 after sixty- five years of life, Henry answered his heavenly call at his residence in Ruffin, South Carolina.
Henry was the jokester of his family, he loved to tell jokes and to make people laugh. He was a friend to many, he had a way of making everyone feel as if they were his best friend. He would make sure that everyone had a nickname, and each name was unique to the person. He loved his family and was a hard worker. Throughout the years he has been employed with Colleton County School District, City of Walterboro and Ford dealership of Walterboro. However, his favorite job was working alongside his son at Aiken Auto.
Henry attended the Colleton County School District, and was a 1976 graduate of Ruffin High School. At an early age he became a member of Hunters Chapel Baptist Church in Ruffin, S.C. On June 08, 2004 he married Anita Hoagland, and from this union one child was born.
Preceding him in death are his siblings; Norris Aiken, Roosevlet Aiken, Norman Aiken, Carrie Stephens and Julieen Kirkland, along with one grandchild.
Henry leaves behind to cherish his life and memories, his wife Anita Aiken; His children: Reggie (Lameaka) Aiken, Deon (Archelle) Aiken and Austin Aiken; His siblings: Willie (Doris) Aiken and Lawrence Aiken;One brother-inlaw: Jimmy Hoagland; One sister-inlaw: Jenni Bedding; One Aunt: Charlotte Ott; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
