Mr. Duvonte Vester Blocker

“The Gift of Life”

“The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Duvonte. He kept people rolling in laughter because he could find humor in the most mundane life circumstances.”  Mr. Duvonte V. Blocker, affectionately known as “Vont or Bubba”; was born December 22, 1994, in Beaufort, South Carolina to the late, Ms. Latoya Pinckney and the late, Mr. Charlie Blocker, Jr.  Receiving his education in the Colleton County school district, Duvonte was a proud graduate of Colleton County High School class of 2013.  Duvonte furthered his studies, and went on to receive his Commercial Driver’s License, where he would drive trucks for over several years.  Duvonte was a believer of God and was an active member of the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church of the Roadside Community in Yemassee, South Carolina.  

During the afternoon hours of Saturday: March 4, 2023, Duvonte departed from this earthly life to attend his most important heavenly calling with His Lord and Savior.  Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by grandmother, Sharon Blocker.

Left on this side to forever embrace the gift of his life, his loving children. Kamiya Blocker of Walterboro, SC, and Kylie Blocker of Columbia, SC: siblings,  Cynea (Brandon) Kelly of Blufton, SC, Damon Blocker of Jacksonboro, SC, Imani Allen of Yemassee, SC, and Deshaun Blocker of Jacksonboro, SC: grandparents, Frank (Shirley) Pinckney, Sr. of Yemassee, SC and Charlie Blocker, Sr. of Jacksonboro, SC: great-grandmother, Janie Gant of Jacksonboro, SC: nieces, Gabrielle Martin and Ashlynn Kelly, both of Blufton, SC: aunt, Lashawn Blocker of Jacksonboro, SC: uncles, Frank (Kawana) Pinckney, Jr. of Yemassee, SC and Gregory (Lashawn) Pinckney of Columbia, SC: along with a host of numerous grand aunts and uncles, other relatives and caring friends.   

As final arrangements are complete and listed below; please feel free to share in expressions of love and remembrance, as they will surely comfort this bereaved family.
