Mr. Alfred Prioleau Obituary

ALFRED PRIOLEAU, the son of the late Inel Lessington and Joe Prioleau; was born on July 10, 1942, in Colleton County. As a youth he received his formal education in the public school system of Colleton County.

ALFRED relocated to New York City in 1962 where he met and later married Annie Holmes. This union was blessed with six children: Betty, Tracy, Alfred, Jr. Alfred James Holmes, Tiffany, and Bria.

ALFRED was employed with the New York Bus Service (New York City – MTA Bus) for over thirty-five years, until his retirement in 2007. He continued to live life through his avid love for family and friends. Whenever he met them, it was always with a smile and a willingness to help. Not to mention his love for cars; a “Chevrolet Corvette ZO6” was his dream car. He also enjoyed taking early morning walks, attending sporting events and live music and especially the occasional bowling night with his loving sweetheart, Annie. Little did a lot of people know: Alfred had a hidden talent, he was a TRUE comedian. Boy he could really make you laugh.

During the early morning hours of Monday: March 20, 2023, while in the comfort of his home; a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend bid the earthen shores a final farewell as he entered into his new home in glory.  Preceding him in death along with his parents are, one daughter, Tiffany Prioleau: brother, Richard Lessington: along with ten brother-in-laws.
