The Legacy of Life
Mother Maybell Black McFadden Jamison, daughter of the late Joshua Brown and Marie Brown; was born November 30, 1939, in Hampton County, South Carolina. She was called home on Friday, August 26, 2022, at the Pruitt Health of Walterboro, South Carolina.
Maybell was a devout woman of God who loved her family dearly. She began her walk with the Lord at Hickory Hill United Methodist Church in Padgetts, S.C. She walked in the office of an Evangelist for many years. She loved to sing the songs of the Lord. She had a big heart and would help anyone if she could. She was one of the kindest souls you would ever meet.
Maybell was united in holy matrimony to the late, John Frank Black Sr., and this union would be blessed with four children. She then was joined in Holy matrimony to Vonlee McFadden and remained united until his passing during the 90’s. Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband is one son, Benjamin Lee Black and her only daughter, Elizabeth Black Butler.
Left to cherish her legacy; her sons, John Frank Black Jr. of Walterboro, S.C. and Elder Ronald Lee Black (Elder Sheila) of Augusta, G.A.: sister, Shirley Brown, and brother Joshua Brown, both of New York, N.Y.; sister, Mary Lane of Walterboro, S.C.; and her youngest sister, Wilhemina Edwards of Walterboro, S.C: aunts, Elder Rosa Lee Butler of Johns Island, S.C. and Ethel Lee Aikens of Portsmouth, V.A.; along with a host of numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Please let us continue to pray with this family, as they mourn the passing of one whom that has transitioned.
