Mother Mabel Grant

Mrs. Mable Pinckney Grant, affectionately called “Granny”, by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; departed this life while surrounded by her family, on Monday: September 13, 2021. Born in Colleton County on July 29, 1939; she was the daughter of the late, Casey Pinckney and Ethel Campbell. During her youth, she received her formaleducation in the public school system of Colleton County. At an early age, she joined the Zion AME Church of Round O, South Carolina. She served faithfully and loved the Lord whole- heartedly.

Mother Grant was just that, a mother and grandmother. Her life’s dream was to be the central figure in her daughters’ lives. Anyone who knew her knew, that family was a star that would definitely put the twinkle in her eyes. A life full of love, joy and laughter, the essence of her memories will be a comfort to those who now mourn her passing. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by: husband, Thomas Grant: brothers, Casey Pinckney, Jr., Manalee Pinckney and Elma Campbell: sister, Maggie C. Pinckney; son in law, Ronnie S. Generette; great-grandson, Titus Generette.

Forever to cherish her memories are: devoted caretaker and daughter, Stacy Generette: grandsons, Mark (Domonique) Generette and Taharqa Generette: grandchildren, Dy’Min, Da’Nashia, Mark, Jr., Malik and Mariah Generette, Zyah Aiken and Raykim Nesbitt, who was raised in the home: brother, Alexander (Evolia)Pinckney: sisters, Julia Griffin and Loubertha Pinckney: sister in law, Vivian Campbell, along with a host of numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Humbly, we  ask that each of you will continue to lift this family in prayer, as they transition thru this difficult time.
