Mother Geneva Singleton, daughter of the late Sam & Lucy Singleton; was born December 18, 1933, in Green Pond, South Carolina. Mother Singleton received her formal education in the public schools of Colleton County. As an adult, Mother Singleton spent her life as a housekeeper and housewife.
Mother Singleton was a woman of faith and believed in God, wholeheartedly. She attended Lighthouse Tabernacle for many years, and currently served as the “Church Mother” under the leadership of Pastor Blue. Affectionately called “Bee”, she was a true virtuous woman. Not only was she a blessing to all; she was a dedicated mother of children, she didn’t even birth. She demonstrated wisdom and love through her entire life living.
During the early morning hours of December 27, 2022, Mother Singleton peacefully slipped from this earthly shore. Left on this side to cherish the portraits of her life; two sisters, Carrie Singleton of Manhattan, NY, and Vernell Gillard of Savannah, GA: children, John (Yvonne) Singleton of Green Pond, Bernard Singleton of Richmond, VA, Greg Singleton of Bronx, NY, Teresa Robinson of New Jersey, and Shameke (Steven) Williams of Blufton, SC: twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; along with a host of relatives, friends and fellow members of the body of Christ.
We encourage you to share in a moment of reflection or a word of sympathy, which will console this family, as they prepare for the final celebration of life.
