Mother Clara Bell Reed daughter of the late Elliott and Lillie Wilson was born on July 9,1928 in Green Pond, SC. She peacefully received her heavenly wings on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at her residence. 

Educated in the public schools of Colleton County, Mother Reed obtained her high school diploma and would later work in the sewing industry for many years. Later on in life she became a private sitter before retiring. Mother Reed was married to the late Calvin Reed for over fifty years and that union was be blessed with one daughter, the late Clair Reed Middleton. Saved and sanctified all of her life, Mother Reed gave God praise every day. She was a faithful member of Sheldon Church and  more recently Fisher's of Men Total Man Deliverance Ministry in Walterboro, SC. When her health began to fail, she continued to view services on television, faithfully.  Affectionately known as "Granny", Mother Reed possessed a kind and nurturing spirit that was shared with everyone she came in contact with. To know her was to truly love her.

Preceding her in death along with her parents, husband, and daughter are grandson Joshua Middleton; and five sisters, Edith Rogers, Marie Blevins, Mae Adams, Ruby Myers, and Leola Curry.

Left to cherish her fond memories are her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren reared in the home, Keyserly Middleton, Jr., Hasaan Middleton, and Shasta Middleton; great-granddaughter , Faith Sanders; three great-great granddaughters; nephew, Fred Wilson; loving niece and caregiver, Brenda Cheeseboro Jones; sister in law, Mother Carrie Mae Coleman; goddaughter, Janet Curry McKenney; a special friend to the family, Jackie Lyon, along with a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends that will miss her dearly.
