Miss Shamiah Sharmaine Lina Rutledge, the daughter of Ms. Michelle Buncombe and Mr. Dante Rutledge: was born May 16, 2016. Shamiah was a rising second grade student at the Forest Hills Elementary School of Walterboro, South Carolina. Her teachers loved and adored her, and Shamiah made sure that everyone at school knew who she was. To know this angel was to truly love her. She was a sweet, funny, and adorable individual, who brightened up any place she went. She loved to dance, hang out with her baby sister and auntie, Sariya, while making Tik Toks; be on the phone with her granddad all day; or something to simply just make everyone laugh. She also loved dancing with her dad, and spending time helping them to do things. Other times, she and her mom would enjoy taking pics, making videos, and traveling to different places. Miah also loved spending time with with her aunt, Michelle, also called “Auntie Nana”. These two would also spend time together and with different kids and especially having a “Slumber Party”. Not to mention, she had a way of going shopping with her granddad and Uncle Vincent, and being spoiled and pampered by her grandmas, Pumpkin and Lina. She would make sure that she spent her weekends in Jacksonboro, getting to know all of her family from all across, being a joy to all she knew.
On Sunday: July 2, 2023, Shamiah departed from this life to be reunited in heaven with her loving aunt, Sariya Manigo; grandaunt, Michelle Magwood: great-great grandmother, Maggie B.
