McNeil Earl Johnson, the third child of Luevinia Johnson, was born June 11, 1950, in Charleston, South Carolina. Earl as he was affectionately known by family and friends heard the master's call and transitioned from his earthly life on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the age of 74.
He was educated in the public school system of Colleton County. Following high school, he joined the United States Army. He served his country for several years before returning home to begin his career at the Naval Shipyard in Charleston, South Carolina. His most recent job was self-employed working as a Landscaper.
Earl was also married to the late Annette Tillman Johnson and with this union, they were blessed with one son, Juan Johnson who preceded him in death on September 3, 2024.
Earl was also known for his love of working on cars, he just really had a love for working on anything dealing with his hands. Earl also didn’t mind stopping to see family and friends, even if it was just for a moment.
